Extraordinary General Meeting: Friday, 5 December 2014 at 6pm

Please accept this eMail as formal notice that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the whole membership of the Old Coventrians' Association will be held at the school on Friday, 5 December 2014, at 6pm in the Jeff Vent Archive Room.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider changes to the Old Coventrians' Association Constitution which are recommended to you by the Management Committee. These changes establish a "separation of powers" to emphasise the OCA's independence and its limited role in the daily life of the school. The changes also have the effect of making the Association's officers more accountable to members by requiring them to be re-elected annually.

The current Constitution, the proposed new Constitution and the proposal document explaining the rationale for the proposed changes will be made available on our website prior to the meeting (http://www.kinghenrys.co.uk/former-students/).

Please advise our Secretary, Michelle Mahiques-Pearce (mahiquesm@khviii.net), if you intend to come along, so we know how many are attending.

The EGM will be followed by a brief Committee Meeting before we adjourn to The Royal Oak in Earlsdon for an informal pre-Christmas drink and I hope you will join us there.
